Deputy Chief Courtney Rutherford, Baldwinsville Fire Department, updated the Board and the audience on what was happening.
...Deputy Chief Rutherford advised currently they have a Memphis rescue pumper housed near where some of the members live at Ken's Collision, 100 Syracuse Street in the Village of Baldwinsville, and the Rescue 7 truck they hope to fit in there by tomorrow. He
advised they would be asking the Town of Van Buren Board
shortly to look into the feasibility of leasing or selling about one acre of the vacant land next to the Town Building to them so they may build a temporary structure on it for their headquarters.Their goal was to have that structure built within one month.They have already talked with some construction people to give them some prices on this. He
stated further talks will start up again relative to the property over on O'Brien Road and State Fair Blvd. with the possibility of that area being their headquarters.Nobody was going to be excluded from those talks, and he
wants everyone to work together as a team.
