Councilman W.T. Edmondson
is a native and lifelong resident of Troup County, and is the son of Arizona Thomas Edmondson and the late Reverend G.F. Edmondson.
Mr. Edmondson is a graduate of Troup County High School, West Georgia Technical College, Gupton Jones College of Mortuary Science, and attended the Interdenominational Theological Center Morehouse School of Religion in Atlanta.
Mr.Edmondson is the owner of Edmondson Embalming Service, LLC and Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home, is a licensed funeral director and embalmer.
Mr. Edmondson is a member of numerous professionals and civic organizations.

In addition to his business and his public service activity, Rev. Edmondson is pastor of the Bethlehem Baptist Church of West Point and has served in that capacity for the past twenty two years.
He helped start the first Boys Club in the West Point area and is President of the West Georgia Ministerial Alliance.
For more than twenty years Mr. Edmondson worked as a male nurse in the intensive care unit at West Georgia Health System.
He is a charter member of the 100 Black Men of West Georgia.
Councilman Edmondson has served as a member of city council for the past seven years.
Currently he serves as chairman of Troup County Board of Health where he helps to provide leadership and oversite over the public health needs of the Greater Troup County Area.
He is also a member of the General missionary Baptist Convention of Georgia, the National Baptist Convention, the Troup County Baptist Association and the Southern Baptist Convention.
While on city council he
has been consistently participating in the Georgia Municipal Association
He was the first African American to run for Mayor of the City of LaGrange and County Coroner for Troup County.
has spoken in many other places throughout the United States, but his
love is helping young people, the elderly and preaching the good news of Jesus Christ.
has been married to Glenda Faye Simpson Edmondson for thirty two years they have four children Antonio, Kimberly, Gemontea and Mercedes.
