That was how Dr. Clayton Railey, Dean of Communications, Arts, and Humanities at DCCC replied when I asked him what made them decide to put on the Conference on Academic Freedom scheduled for April 11-12, 2008.Proposals for papers or panels are due by October 31, 2007 according to the Call for Papers, but Dr. Railey said that date was "not that rigid" and folks who are interested in submitting a proposal should just contact him and work out the details. So how about it?
