CLARA MABRYASHEVILLE - The funeral services for Clara Helen Rice Mabry, 80, will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, Columbia, S.C. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Columbia.The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services.Memorials may be made to Biltmore United Methodist Church in Asheville or to a charity of one's choice.Mrs. Mabry, wife of the late Irvin Charles Mabry, died Sunday, Jan.28, 2001.She was born in Akron, Ohio, and was the daughter of the late Hobart Hinkle and Lena Stewart Rice.She was a graduate of Temple University, a member and organist for the Eastern Star in Florida and New York, a member of Biltmore United Methodist Church and enjoyed sewing and knitting.A beloved mother, grandmother and friend, Mrs. Mabry is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Janice Mabry and Bill Kauric of Columbia, Karen Mabry and Daniel Kennedy of Katy, Texas, and Carol Mabry and John Blankenship of Mesa, Ariz. ; and her grandchildren, Daniel Kennedy, Stephanie Kennedy and Amanda Plemmons.GEORGE KIOPEKLYSurviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Marjorie and Ed Edwards and Clara and Edd Cassida, both of Burnsville ; two sisters, Ada Jones and Atlas Silvers of Burnsville ; seven grandchildren ; 13 great-grandchildren ; and a great-great-grandchild.
