• Make a point to attend back-to-school nights or visit the school before classes start.This is important to kindergartners as well as middle schoolers and high schoolers who may want to check out where things are before the school is full, Schwaninger
If you can't make the back-to- school night, she
suggests parents make an appointment to visit the school, so the teacher can be there.
