Rev. Morgan was selected by the church's Pastor Nominating Committee and approved by a congregational vote earlier this year.
He succeeds the Rev. Dr. Martha Robson, who has served the church as interim pastor since this spring.

Morgan served on many committees during his time in

He was a member of the Hillsboro Housing Authority and served on local boards for the Salvation Army, Interfaith Ministry and Ministerial Alliance.
Morgan has also worked with Kairos Prison Ministries.
The Rev. Morgan grew up within the First Presbyterian Church of Texarkana where his brother, attorney Chuck Morgan, is a lay speaker.
