Farmingdale, NY May 29, 2012 - Christopher Pendergast
, a resident of Farmingdale, has furthered his
dedication and commitment to supporting, empowering and mentoring future generations of women that he
has shown year after year.
Christopher Pendergast has been elected to the Board of Directors of the Girl Scouts of Nassau County, Inc. as a member of the Council Nominating Committee on May 21, 2012, at the 47th Annual Meeting held at The DeMatteis Center.
Mr. Pendergast joins other Board Members in their mission to provide leadership, innovation and constant support to the Girl Scouts of Nassau County Council.

Christopher Pendergast has been a Member-at-Large of the Board of Directors since 2009.
The father of a Gold Award Recipient and spouse of a Girl Scout Delegate Chair, Cookie Manager, Troop Leader and Troop Consultant, Mr. Pendergast
is very familiar with the positive influence Girl Scouting can have on girls and women.
Mr. Pendergast is the Chief Information Officer for Marchon Eyewear.
At Hofstra University's College for Continuing Education
, Mr. Pendergast
has developed and taught professional development programs in Information Technology for more than 15 years.
Mr. Pendergast is also committed to youth programs and up until 2010 was an active member of the board of Farmingdale Soccer Club.
Since 1994, he
has volunteered as a coach and manager for both girls and boys teams.
A Trustee of St. James Church in Seaford, Mr. Pendergast has served on the Pastoral Council, finance committee, lector ministry, and fundraising committee.
