Ten days later, Dr. Christopher Knott-Craig, Le Bonheur's world-renown cardiovascular surgeon and co-director of the Heart Institute at Le Bonheur, repaired her heart. Over the next few months, Violet had two more surgeries to further correct her GI issues and to place a tracheostomy tube to aid in her airway problems.

Violet will need specialized care including the use of a ventilator and additional heart catherizations. She will remain in Le Bonheur's Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) until she is able to go home.
