(NASDAQ.SC: AKLM), a leading global video entertainment software developer and publisher, today announced that it has appointed Christopher Hickey to the position of Senior Vice President of Sales.Reporting directly to Edmond Sanctis, President and Chief Operating Officer of Acclaim North America, Mr. Hickey will be responsible for overseeing the sales, distribution and direct marketing of the Company's video games, strategy guides and affiliated publishing.

Prior to joining Acclaim, Hickey served as Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Computer Associates' channel business, where he supervised and managed a diverse staff of more than 50 professionals and was responsible for product and business development for the company's licensing model, which was ranked as one of the top performing programs in the industry by International Data Corporation.Hickey also played an instrumental role in developing several other global programs for Computer Associates, including "Customer Connect" and "Choice Support," and a new program focused on driving demand for Computer Associates' indirect product line.
Prior to Computer Associates, Hickey served as Director of Marketing and Operations for Cheyenne Software, where he managed the product launch, marketing and operations of the number one security software product, Arc Serve.He also generated revenues of more than $400 million and led channel operations for distributors and resellers in North America, Europe and Latin America.
Earlier in his career, Hickey held sales positions with Rand McNally Media, Nicholstone Companies and Haddon Craftsman.He graduated from Central Connecticut State University with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technologies.
