Huntington Beach, Calif. - September 11, 2008 - Christopher Dorst and Brent Bohlender have been appointed co-chairs of the new USA Water Polo Hall of Fame Committee, it was announced earlier today by USA Water Polo CEO Christopher Ramsey.
and Bohlender will assemble a volunteer committee, which will work with USA Water Polo
to accomplish the goals listed above, as well as other activities and initiatives to recognize and celebrate outstanding achievement.

has risen from a standout water polo player in the Northern California area claiming a collegiate championship while at Stanford
in 1976 to playing a pivotal role on the national teams making the 1980 and 1984 Men's Olympic Water Polo Teams.Recipient of a Silver Medal at the 1984 Games in Los Angeles, Dorst is a member of the USA Water Polo Hall of Fame.Dorst
is no stranger to volunteering his
time.He has served on boards with the USOC, USA Water Polo, and Stanford Water Polo Club.
A true voice of water polo he
has served as the MC for every Peter J. Cutino Awards ceremony along with multiple water polo tournaments.He remains active to this day with the Nor Cal Water Polo Club.Dorst
is married to the former Marybeth Linzmeier, an Olympic swimmer, and the couple has three daughters who are all following in their father's footsteps playing water polo.
