Deerfield Farmhouse began in 1987 when Christine first came to Deerfield Farm as a new bride. She was born a hop, skip & a jump from her Great Grandfather's homestead.
lives with her
husband not more than three miles from where she
grew up on her
husband both come from generations of farmers, teachers, ministers & seamstresses dating back to the early 1700's at Plymouth. Christine
has always loved learning about the day to day lives of our ancestors from the 18th & 19th centuries - old houses, early dolls, & antique textiles - so she
endeavors to recreate the feel of the old & love-worn dolls & keepsakes.
Each doll is created by handsculpting their heads from papier-mache.
