Dailies « Go Go Cards!
On the flight out of St. Louis I met Christy Bertelson, a former reporter and editor for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
She's currently the head speech writer and policy advisor for Missouri Governor Jay Nixon, and sitting next to her on the plane to Dallas we talked about the unique scenery and sites in Missouri, my road trips following the Cardinals, and her new life as a pubic servant with the long hours and weekly commutes to Jefferson City and back. I couldn't imagine the schedule she needed to keep in a job like that and I couldn't help but reflect on how wonderful it is to get out and away from such a daily grind.
