Grand Finals - 2005/2006, 1 Jan 2006 [cached]
The Big Unit, Christiaan Kennedy, joined Bazz and now the hard grind really started.
Huddo joined Christiaan for the final over before tea.
Christiaan mentioned that he had been up to 1:30am on Sunday morning with his leg elevated so that he could walk on the final day. The Black had spent Saturday night icing his shin splints so he could bowl. Likewise the keeper, who spent the same time icing his right knee. Sean even turned down a long evening on the beer with an Irish mate of his.

Round 12 - 2005/2006, 1 Jan 2006 [cached]
The Been was picking up a single here and there and Christiaan was trying to cope with some good bowling. A left armed inswinger trapped him on the crease and the finger was raised. He had the second duck of the innings. 2 for not many at all. Sticky situation.
The mood was only brightened when mid wicket fielder and expert Billy Bowden impersonator, Christiaan Kennedy, raised a crooked finger and gave it out by a very long way indeed. The game continued after drinks with JK determined to end the reign of his rabbit. Finally, he jumped a little too far and was bowled for not many. 5/32 off 20 and the men of the train were steaming home hard.
Round 12, 1 Jan 2003 [cached]
Stand in captain Christiaan Kennedy declared overnight and we made good progress through their lineup snaring the captain cheaply which pleased us as he scored a ton in the first round against us. We dropped him early again as we did last time but this time he did not make us pay.
Fine catches were taken by Rick, Tom, Paul, Christiaan, John and the outfielding was outstanding from Glenn, Tom and John in particular. At stumps Hamish and Ken had consolidated at 1 for 30 after AB was dismissed late in the day.
The plan for the second week was for Ken and Hamish to get the first 100 and then pick up the scoring rate from there. The plan didn't quite work with Ken going at 99 - to be followed by Paul, John and Christiaan at about 105.
