A relative newcomer to the industry, this native Calgarian has always had a passion for food and cooking.Taking the plunge into the industry in 2001 by enrolling into the S.A.I.T
Professional cooking program, graduating in 2002 Chris
began to seek out positions that could help develop skills and help him excel in the business.Working for local catering companies and smaller restaurants for a year, Chris
was finally led to work for Chef Paul Rogalski at Rouge
in early 2003.
Completing his apprenticeship under Paul, Chris
learned about the best suppliers and foods available in Calgary, as well as developing his palate on using these great products.
...With Chef Paul's guidance Chris left the Sous Chef Position at Rouge to become Executive Chef at Bistro Piq Niq in May 2005.
Since then Chris
has used his
innovative ideas and cooking style to drive Piq Niq's food to the next level.
