LEAVES THE FAN FOR 101 ESPN
(February 19, 2009) 101 ESPN
announced the addition of experienced St. Louis sports broadcaster Chris "Hoss" Neupert to their leadership team.
Neupert will join the new FM Sports/Talk radio station on March 9, 2009 as Executive Producer and Director of Rams Radio Operations.
"Hoss" has built his
radio broadcasting career from humble beginnings as a college intern.
Neupert has spent the past 12 years at KFNS, starting his "official" radio career as a board-op, moving on to a position as a producer and within KFNS' production department, then as production supervisor and Assistant Program Director for the station; he is currently the Director of Operations and Program Director at 590 The Fan.
won the station's "MVP" award in 2004, when Big League Broadcasting took over the ownership of KFNS
Beginning with his internship at KFNS, Neupert has worked with the Rams Radio Network and with former Rams players Kevin Carter, Aaron Laing, along with Jeff Zgonina and Grant Wistrom, producing their weekly talk shows.
Neupert also worked as a board op and producing the 6:00 pm to midnight weekday shift at KKWK 1380 AM back in 1997.

Outside of his
professional duties at KFNS
has been involved with broadcasting high school football games for many years, as well as his
role as the color analyst and sideline reporter for Washington University's
A St. Louis native, Neupert played high school football and was a member of the track & field team for Oakville High School.
