Rev. Chris Herrin
Chris has been ordained since 1998, having earned her Master of Divinity degree from Princeton Seminary in New Jersey.
is however a southerner and has lived most of her
life somewhere off I-85 between Greensboro, NC and Atlanta, GA, passing the Big Peach hundreds of times, never dreaming that God would call her
to live here!
Chris attended Furman University where she was a Business Major and heavily involved in a student-run service organization.
In hindsight, she
believes that the seeds for pursuing ministry as a vocation were planted then, though she
didn't know it.
While working in a bank in Atlanta, she volunteered with her church youth group and Young Life, and then felt led by God to serve as a youth director at a Presbyterian church, though she had been raised Southern Baptist (moderate).
became Presbyterian at that time.
After attending Princeton, her first call was an associate at a "tall steeple" church in Charlotte where she served for 11 years.
She began her solo pastorate here at LPC in November, 2008 and feels blessed to be part of such a wonderful congregation.
is married to Dan and has two children, Lucy who is 8 and Jake who is 11.
