Chris is a native Tucsonan who attended Catalina High Magnet School.
While there he
competed on several sports teams and was given all conference honors numerous times.
passion however was the track where he
still holds several Catalina High records.
After high school he
departed for Southern California where he
participated in both football and track & field while persuing his
degree in Kinesiology.
While there he
was a four year starter for Whittier College
at the defensive back position, earning all conference honors his
junior and senior years.
Again though, the track is where he
earned all conference honors every year of his
collegiate track career.
After graduation Chris
was hired on as the sports performance coach for a training facility in Newport Beach, California where he
worked for 3 years before coming back home to coach at CrossFit Works and Barebones Barbell Club of Tucson
Chris' passion in coaching is designing programs that will take an athlete to their desired goals.
is successful in combining the emotional developmental needs of an athlete with the physical needs.
has successfully coached CrossFit athletes to the level of CrossFit Regionals as well as Olympic Lifting athletes to the level of USA Weightlifting Collegiate Nationals.
Chris' exercise physiology background also enables him to work with "regular" folks who have specific injuries or complicated physical situations.
has also designed the strength and conditioning programs for several Tucson-area high school teams.
