"We've been able to position it as much as a season ticket benefit as it is a sales tool for us," said Chris Freshour, General Manager of the Bakersfield Condors.
"We're learning that you have to make the offer significant to warrant it and allow season ticket holders to give some free tickets. They can sell their way to free season tickets if they want and it is really compelling for a lot of them." While generating leads and sales is priority one for this program, Freshour said the team has realized another intangible benefit for the program that should be great news for any sales manager who deals with high turnover with their sales staff. "With turnover being commonplace at the minor league level, a lot of times season ticket holders know our product better than some of our younger and newer sales staff members and it is proving to be a big help," Freshour said.
