"This is one of the most complex sets we've ever attempted at Floyd Central, but I'm sure the end results will be well worth the effort," FCHS Theatre Director Chris Bundy said."The audience will expect to see a sinking ship and we intend to give it to them."Along with the lavish sets are costumes to match.Several of the costumes will be the original ones used in the Broadway production of the show, Bundy said.

Chris Bundy , Theatre Director ...
Chris Bundy , Theatre Director and last year's ExCEL Award winner for the New Albany- Floyd County Schools , commented on the upcoming events. We have been to the International Thespian Festival several times , and we hope to go again this year. The International Thespian Festival is about as high an honor as most high school theatre students could dream of.However , an even bigger step is auditioning and being accepted to the Edinburgh Festival. We thought it was particularly fitting that our school's mascot is the Highlander , and we will be the only high school in Indiana represented at the festival in Scotland , the home of the original Highlanders. It is an honor and a privilege to be able to make this trip..
added , There is only one downside to this whole experience , and that is the fact that is costs so much money to travel and take an entire production overseas.Students are fundraising to help pay their own personal expenses as well as to pay for the expenses incurred from taking the props and equipment needed to perform the show.We are certainly looking for sponsors to help us , and we will accept any donation , large or small..
