has twenty-one years of varied experience in the international oil and gas business.Christopher graduated in 1979 from the University of Wales, with a First Class Honors Degree in Geology.
From 1979-1982 he
undertook a PhD in Geology sponsored by the Shell International Petroleum Company
at the University of Wales
and State University of Utrecht, Netherlands
.Christopher joined the Shell International Petroleum Company at their KSEPL Rijswijk Research Laboratory in 1983.He
was assigned to the Production Geology section where he
authored a series of internal reports and manuals concerned primarily with the quantification of geological data for reservoir simulation.Several of these reports and manuals are still in use throughout the Shell group of companies
.In 1985 Christopher joined the ARCO Oil and Gas Company, where he remained until 2000 when the company was finally taken over by BPAmoco.
From 1985 to 1990 he
continued to conduct research and technical services on development geology/reservoir engineering related topics.However, in 1990 he
was transferred into exploration with ARCO Indonesia
in Jakarta.During the last seven years with ARCO, Christopher held a variety of senior management positions in both the UK and Europe.From 1994 to 1997, he was the Chief Geologist/Manager of Exploration Technology for ARCO British and in 1997 he was promoted to Exploration Manager for the Deepwater Atlantic Margin.In 1999 he was appointed Exploration Director of ARCO British and Exploration Vice President for ARCO Europe and North Africa.
time in Indonesia and the UK Christopher was instrumental in a series of ARCO exploration successes.These included over 20mmboe of net reserve additions in the Java Sea and in excess of 40 mmboe net reserve additions on the UK Atlantic Margin.

has developed and taught many successful training courses both in the United States, Southeast Asia and Europe.At ARCO British he
was a major supporter of several UK universities and initiated the employment of one year, work experience students within the exploration organisation.He is a current member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists, the Petroleum Exploration Society of Great Britain, the South East Asian Petroleum Exploration Society and in the past was a board member of the Indonesian Petroleum Association.
