RESTON, Va., April 10, 2003-Sallie Mae (NYSE: SLM), the nation's leading provider of education funding, today announced the appointments of Chester Gorski to vice president, applications development, and Daniel Park to vice president, information technology strategy and solutions. Prior to his appointment, Gorski served as associate principal for McKinsey and Company, where he led client and consulting project teams to shape and solve strategy, technology and operational performance problems.In his new position, Gorski will be responsible for managing the development and maintenance of a portfolio of critical software applications and will report to Larry Morgan, senior vice president, applications development.Gorski earned a Bachelors of Science degree from Taylor University and his MBA from the University of Chicago. Park and Gorski will both be based at Sallie Mae's operations center in Fishers, Ind., just outside of Indianapolis.
