actively displayed and sold her
oil paintings and pen & ink drawings at an Art Studio
named Stebbins Art Studio
in Galveston Texas up until the hurricane season wiped out the studio in 1989.
Non-detoured by the hurricane incident, Cheryl
continued working in various mediums and found that her
specialty is Bic pen.You heard it right, Bic pen.To date, there is no one in this field of art work which makes her
pieces a more unique class of its own.Since the early age of 11, Cheryl
has studied animals with great interest placed in their different body structures and muscle types.The Art of Bic pen is to create different effects with the strokes of each individual line placed on the surface of various types and weights of paper in such a way as to create various depths of shading.Like Indian ink, Bic pen leaves no room for the artist to make mistakes; hers is a finely tuned and disciplined endeavor.The final outcome of a drawing in Bic pen is a flawless 2 or 3 dimensional drawing that shows great detail.
While in Houston Texas, Cheryl
studied under Leo Sosa the fine Art of Sign Painting, Lettering, Pin-Striping, Calligraphy, Logo design and Mural artwork.
believes in the education and distribution of information regarding the safety and protection of all animals living in the United States and focuses on the empowerment of horse owners and animal lovers of all ages and backgrounds. Cheryl was born in Selma Alabama and grew up in the United States.
As a horse owner most of her
has spent many an hour in the saddle, in the arena, in the round pen and participating in showing horses and writing articles about her
experiences.Cheryl's outdoor activities and love of ATVing in the country is what brings the life into her
is often amazed at the native wildlife indigenous to Kansas.She
states that it isn't unusual to see an occasional Elk or Moose wondering the Kansas plains along with the various coyotes, bald eagles, hawks, owls and rabbits (just to name a few).Cheryl
is an avid fisher woman and enjoys crappie, walleye and large mouth game fishing.Cheryl is an active member of The American Horse Council, The Kansas Horse Council, The American Saddlebred Association, The American Quarterhorse Association, The Arabian Horse Association, The Palomino Horse Breeders of America, The American Paint Horse Association and Ducks Unlimited.Cheryl
will be showing her
Art work June 29th through July 4th in Wichita Kansas at the Stars and Stripes Horse show in the Kansas Coliseum.She
