Librarian Send e-mail Educational Background: B.S. Education (Dickinson State University) Cheri Aasmundstad has worked professionally with children since 1970, beginning in public schools in Iowa. She became a home daycare provider in Des Moines when her children were young and moved to the Des Moines Public Schools when all were in school. Cheri came to St. Paul's in 1989 as a substitute teacher, and she began as a third grade classroom teacher in 1990. She was one of the founders of the popular "Rainforest" and "Oregon Trail" projects in that grade. She moved to the library in 1997 and has cultivated the love of reading for fun and information in that capacity. She enjoys reading aloud to children and actively promotes the Children's Choice reading programs for Missouri. he has also headed the curriculum mapping initiative in the school. Cheri enjoys reading, music, needlework, four children, and eight grandchildren outside of school. She likes to travel to visit family in the summer and hike in the mountains.
