...Charlotte Cox, BiologistCharlotte Cox recently joined Ecoplans as a Biologist, bringing a diverse array of skills and experiences to the team.Having graduated from the University of Guelph with a degree in Wildlife Biology, she returned to school and earned a certificate in Ecosystem Restoration from Niagara College.Upon graduation Ms. Cox traveled to Ecuador where she worked as a Restoration Ecology intern in Cerro Blanco National Park, leading ecological workshops and naturalizing a butterfly and hummingbird meadow.Ms. Cox has also worked for the City of Toronto implementing an invasive species monitoring and control program, and restoring disturbed habitats.Ms Cox's
main area of interest is in herpetology.She
recently completed a contract with the Toronto Zoo focusing on the impacts of using transmitters as a conservation tool on the health and fitness of the Massasauga rattlesnake.Ms. Cox
has further experience tracking Blanding's and Snapping turtles using radiotelemetry, and she
undergraduate thesis on the Jefferson/Blue-spotted salamander complex.
