Charles Schaul, Founder of SixPillars, first became involved with long range planning process as a Corporate Planner for Reynolds Metals Company. Charles later entered the consulting world as an intermediary in mergers and acquisitions. He also associated with the Hamilton Strategic Management Group and, presenting their planning process, led many companies in the US and Canada through successful strategic planning programs. More recently, Charles' clients include both for-profit and not-for-profit groups throughout the United States.
In the past he was a Certified Management Consultant, a Registered Professional Engineer and a business columnist for the Arizona Business Gazette. He has published articles and taught Strategic Management to business management teams internationally.

Later SixPillars added a business valuation group that he headed.
Charles has a Bachelor of Science degree from Washington & Lee University, Lexington, Virginia and a Bachelor of Science, Mechanical Engineering degree from Carnegie Melon University, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He was a "Dean's List" student at Washington & Lee, and from Carnegie he graduated "With Honors" and was elected to Tau Beta Pi, Omicron Delta Kappa and Pi Tau Sigma. At both Washington & Lee and Carnegie he extensively studied accounting and economics.
