Charles C. Pugh III was born in Marietta, OH and spent his childhood in the Parkersburg-Vienna, WV area. Pugh and his wife Sharon live in Vienna, WV. They are the parents of three children and have several grandchildren. His higher education includes Ohio Valley University, Harding University, and Harding Graduate School of Religion where he did his graduate work in Philosophy of Religion and Apologetics under Thomas B. Warren.
Charles Pugh has preached since 1967 and was involved in local ministry for thirty years (1970-2000) serving churches in Ohio, Mississippi, and West Virginia. He has done extensive radio and television preaching. He has studied and taught the fields of Philosophy of Religion and Apologetics since 1972. He served as an adjunct faculty member at Ohio Valley University and has been a WVSOP faculty member since the school began. He is currently the Director of Warren Christian Apologetics Center (www.warrenapologeticscenter.org).
Charles has also proclaimed God's Word in written form as well. Some of his most noteworthy books are: Things Most Surely Believed-Evidence Essays (2002), Doctrine and the DO In It (2004), Life's Greatest Acclamation-God (2006), and That Your Joy May Be Full-More Evidence Essays (2007).

Charles C. Pugh III was born in Marietta, OH, and grew up in Vienna, WV. He attended Grand Central Church of Christ where his father served as an elder. He received his higher education from Ohio Valley University, Harding University, and Harding Graduate School of Religion, having studied in the fields of Philosophy of Religion and Christian Apologetics under the late Dr. Thomas B. Warren. He has been teaching and writing in the field of Christian Apologetics for over 30 years.
He has been preaching the gospel for over 35 years, serving congregations in Mississippi, Tennessee, Ohio, and West Virginia. He has served as a faculty member of Ohio Valley University and presently is a faculty member at West Virginia School of Preaching (WVSOP). He teaches 5 courses at WVSOP, classes in Christian Evidences being three of the five.
Since being diagnosed with Spasmodic Dysphonia in 1999, his work has concentrated in the areas of writing and teaching. He is the owner of Threefold Publications. He is also the author of 4 books: Things Most Surely Believed, Doctrine and the DO in It, Life's Greatest Acclamation-God, and That Your Joy May Be Full. He has also authored three tracts: Christianity vs. Islam (in its third printing), Challenges Facing the Church Concerning Worship (in its second printing), and Life's Greatest Discovery, which is in its third printing. Charles has had many articles published in various religions journals such as Therefore Stand, West Virginia Christian, The Gospel Advocate, The Spiritual Sword, and Publishing Peace (the monthly paper published by WVSOP). He has written weekly articles which have appeared in numerous church bulletins throughout the east coast. Annually, he holds about 6 gospel meetings and speaks in several lectureships.
Charles presently lives in Vienna, WV, with his wife Sharon.
