Charles Futch Charles, a Tallahassee native, graduated from FSU with a degree in Biology, worked as a marine biologist, and retired as Assistant Director of the Division of Marine Resources of the former Department of Natural Resources. In that capacity he was commissioned as an Officer in the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, an was an invited member in Sigma Xi, The Research Society and The American Institute of Fishery Research Biologists. He and his wife, Susan Drake, M.D., have two grown daughters who graduated from Holy Comforter Episcopal School. He has been a member of Holy Comforter Church for 16 years, serving on the Vestry and several terms on the School's Board of Trustees as a member and as Chairman. He is currently President of the Apalachee Beekeepers Association and on the Board of Managers of the Florida State Beekeepers Association.
