The problem started when Charles Fuller, [ Founder/President ], laid the wrong foundation.First of all, he got a Doctor of Philosophy to run the school who was an intellectual rather than a preacher with a heart for Bible truths, soulwinning, and the things we connect with Fundamentalism. He wanted Fuller Seminary to be the Princeton of the West. And because of this, he got an amalgamation of professors. There was no uniformity of philosophy among Fuller Seminary's faculty. There were [ faculty members ] who believed in the a-millennial view, the pre-millennial view or the post-millennial view. There were [ faculty members ] who believed in the verbal inspiration of the Word of God.Eventually, Neo-Orthodoxy infiltrated, then liberalism.Because Charles Fuller did not begin with the principle, . . . [ we are not going to attract everyone ], today Fuller Seminary would have faculty members who would be considered near atheists. They, [ Fuller Seminary ], would have outright agnostics on their faculty simply because it was started with a neutral foundation."15 Fuller Seminary is one example of many institutions failing the test of time.God's Word will stand forever : However, an institution which concedes the fundamental principles of God's Word will never stand.
