The Council on Foreign Relations is hosting a round-table featuring Bishop Charles E. Blake, Presiding Bishop of the Church of God in Christ and Founder of Save Africas Children.
Bishop Blake founded Save Africas Children in 2002 to expand the scope of care for orphan and vulnerable children (OVC) impacted by HIV/AIDS in Sub-Saharan Africa.
Save Africas Children
has helped hundreds of community and church-based orphan care programs meet the growing demands of 14 million children orphaned by AIDS.
Ten years ago the prognosis for the future of Africas children was extremely dire.
Sub-Saharan Africa is home to over two-thirds of the worlds HIV population.
We still have a lot of work to do to ensure hope and a future for Africas children, says Bishop Blake.
Bishop Blake is a member of the Religious Advisory Committee at the Council on Foreign Relations.
