As much as 75 percent of the vessels in his abnormally large heart, nearly twice the weight of a normal heart, were blocked! Charles Aaron, "Bubba", Smith was born in Texas on Feb. 28, 1945.
Growing up, his father was a football coach, so it’s no surprise he took to the sport. He was the number one NFL draft pick from Michigan State in 1967 when he joined the Baltimore Colts. He was 6-foot-7-inches tall and 280 pounds and went on to play for the Oakland Raiders and Houston Oilers before a knee injury ended his football career in 1976. That’s when Bubba made his transition into the world of acting. He appeared in Miller Lite commercials for a while, but walked away from the job because he wasn’t a fan of the effects of alcohol and he didn’t want to support it. After that, he appeared in several movies and TV shows.
