Cesario Trejo Jr. Tribute: Cesario Trejo Jr. was born in Linn, Texas, to Mr. and Mrs. Cesario Trejo and attended Edinburg High School.On March 12, 1949, he married Mary Deleon in Edinburg, Texas.Mr. Trejo had lived in Greeley since 1959.He attended junior college in Edinburg with a focus on veterinary science and then attended barber school.He was a rancher and dairy foreman in Hudson, Keenesburg, Kersey, Greeley and Galeton.He worked for REA in Texas and also was self-employed in lawn maintenance.Mr. Trejo joined the service when he was 17 and served during World War II.He served in the Navy, Army and Army Air Corps in both the Atlantic and Pacific theaters.His last tour was in Europe as a tail gunner with the 367th Bomb Squadron, 306th Bomb Group and the 40th Bomb Wing.He received the Bronze Star as well as other medals.He believed in discipline and encouraged his children to obtain their educations.He was a devout Christian with a strong faith in God.He was a very traditional Hispanic, especially with his family.He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and spending time with his family.A devout Democrat to the end, he enjoyed following politics and debating among others.He loved to show respect and be respected and enjoyed meeting new people.
