James Aamodt, son of Percy and Cecilia Grommesh Aamodt, was born at Fargo on April 7, 1935, graduated from Barnesville High School, graduated from North Dakota State University and married Twylah M. Franklin on Aug.8, 1959.Mr. Aamodt was affiliated with the U. S. Department of Justice for 30 years until retiring in 1990 as a special agent for the U. S. Border Patrol.He joined the U. S. Marshall Service in 1990 and was assigned as a court security officer in the federal building in Burlington, Vt., until retiring in June.He served with the U. S. Army during the Korean War, was a member of Green Mountain Post No. 1 of The American Legion and served as its financial officer for many years.He also belonged to the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary and served as a commissioner and sexton of Saint Mary's Cemetery for 10 years.He also belonged to the Knights of Columbus at Barnesville.Surviving are his wife–Twylah, 150 Mountain View Drive, Swanton, Vt., 05488 ; his mother–Cecilia Aamodt, Barnesville ; a son–Michael J. Aamodt, North Hero, Vt., and three daughters–Loree L. (Greg) Garceau, St. Albans, Vt. ; Jo Lea Aamodt (Randy) Reed, Sheldon, Vt., and Krisrtie K. Aamodt, Bakersfield, Vt. There are four grandchildren.
