, the company's Vice President for Standards and Technology will speak at next week's Biometric Consortium Conference in Tampa, Florida, Sept. 23-25.
Ms. Tilton will serve as the moderator for the International Session on Biometric Standards, and will speak along with executives from NEC Corporation on border control using biometrics in Japan.
is a frequent speaker at international conferences was recently named as a recipient of the 2008 Leadership and Service Awards given by the American National Standards Institute
was awarded the Edward Lohse Information Technology Medal, which recognizes outstanding efforts to foster cooperation among the bodies involved in global IT standardization.
She is very active in the development of national and international biometric standards, currently serving as the US head of delegation to ISO/IEC JTC1 SC37 subcommittee on biometrics.
Tilton also chairs the BioAPI Consortium, is the international representative for INCITS M1 technical committee on biometrics, and chairs the M1 Ad Hoc Group on Biometrics in e-Authentication.
She is the technical editor of the BioAPI within ISO/IEC JTC1 SC37 WG2 as well as a new project there called "BioAPI Lite."
