II Corinthians by Carter Bearden Jr. The second letter of Paul to the Corinthians is to the church that Paul had founded on his second missionary journey. There were those in the church at Corinth that called into question the apostleship of Paul. Paul states that he is an apostle. This is one of the most personal of Paul's letters. He dwells upon his own ministry while he discloses his motives, his spiritual passion and his tender love for the church there at Corinth. Carter Bearden, Jr. has been pastor of the deaf church at First Baptist Church in Richmond, Virginia and is the teacher for this study of the book of II Corinthians.
Sermon on the Mount by Carter Bearden Jr. The Sermon on the Mount is the greatest sermon ever preached by the greatest preacher that ever lived. This is a message that Jesus shared with his disciples that presented a new law that would work only for those who were saved and had the Son of God living in their hearts and lives. It gives everyday advice as how to live which is in contrast with what the world believes and does. This is a study that you will want to share with friends and neighbors. Carter Bearden, Jr. is the teacher for this four session Bible study. He has been the pastor of the deaf at the First Baptist Church in Richmond, Virginia.

Carter Bearden, who helped pioneer deaf ministries for Southern Baptists, couldn't agree more. Co-founder of the Texas Baptist Conference of the Deaf and a former field consultant on ministry to the deaf with the HMB, Bearden said the ABCD is one outlet that allows him to realize "the fruit" of his 48 years in the ministry.
Texas was the first state in which a conference of this nature was established, so to see 19 state conferences 60 years later "is thrilling," explained Bearden, who inspired David Richardson to be involved in deaf ministry while they were in seminary more than 50 years ago.
"From my experiences, I realize there's a great need to have all the churches that have deaf work to … get together for fellowship, for training and for the exchanging of ideas for the improvement of deaf ministry," said Bearden, who in retirement is serving as interim pastor of Annistown Road Deaf Mission, Snellville, Ga.

Carter Bearden is a deaf man ..., 3 July 2014 [cached]
Carter Bearden is a deaf man who has a heart for seeing the world won to Jesus. He also is a man who had a God-given vision - a vision that depicted interpreters in Southern Baptist churches sharing God's Word with exceptional clarity and ease.
When Carter received that vision, he was SBC's Consultant of Deaf Ministries with the Home Mission Board. His vision began to take shape in 1985, when he chose six Southern Baptist interpreters from around the country to make up the ITP Advisory Board. They caught the vision and helped Carter develop a program that would give Southern Baptist interpreters the highest level of professional training ever offered to church interpreters. In recent years, the National Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf has recognized the quality of these courses by awarding their members Certification Maintenance Program CEUs and ACET credits for each 10-hour course being taught through a NAMB ITP.
