Hughes - Chief Executive Officer/Telapex, Inc. from Charleston, Mississippi, attended the University of Mississippi in Oxford, Mississippi where he earned both his Bachelor of Business Administration '69 with a major in Accounting and a JD '71.At Ole Miss he was inducted to the Student Body Hall of Fame and to Who's Who Among American College Students, having served as Vice President of the Student Body and Chairman of the ASB Judicial Council.He also served as President of his law school graduating class.While at Ole Miss he was a member of the Sigma Nu Fraternity, Beta Alpha Psi, and Omicron Delta Kappa.In August of 1971, Hughes joined the Jackson law firm of Overstreet and Kuykendall were he remained until joining Telapex, Inc. as CEO in 1989.He has served by appointment of the Governor as a special chancery judge and is a member of the Mississippi State Bar Association and admitted to the United States Supreme Court Bar.He has also served on the Board of Trustees of French Camp Academy and the Soli Deo Gloria Foundation.Hughes is a former President of the Capital City Kiwanis Club.Hughes has one son, Lain, who is currently a graduate student at the University of Georgia and also is a graduate of the University of Mississippi.Hughes currently resides in Castlewoods, Miss and is a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church.
