Prior to her role at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett, she was with the New Orleans office of Legg Mason Wood Walker/Howard Weil.
Currently, she is a junior board member for The Family Center, a non-profit organization providing legal and social services to families whose primary caregiver suffers from a terminal illness in New York City.
Ms. Leatherman earned a bachelor of arts degree with high honors in American history and African-American studies from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
During her time at Chapel Hill, she was a captain of the equestrian team for two years.
