Dr. Carrington Pinder graduated from the Prince William's Baptist High School in 1970 and joined the staff of Barclays Bank on Aug. 4, 1970.Reverend Dr. Carrington S. Pinder has served as Pastor of the St. Mark's Native Baptist Church, Romer Street, Fox Hill, Nassau, Bahamas for 22 years.The St. Mark's Native Baptist Church
is a unit Church of the St. John's
Native Baptist Society and the second oldest Baptist Church in the Fox Hill Community. (organized since 1856)He
has led the Church in the construction of its present facility, growth in membership and the establishment of the St. Mark's Academy and Nursery
all of which stands as a testament of Dr. Pinder's commitment to the ministry
proven leadership ability.He
is presently leading the Church in constructing a new building to house the St. Mark's Academy
and Family Life
Centre.Dr. Pinder accepted the Lord Jesus as his personal Saviour on Aug. 11, 1976, during the Youth Conference at St. John's Baptist Cathedral while Rev. Leon Johnson was President.
...Pastor Pinder has served as a Member of The Juvenile Panel, Boys Industrial Visiting Committee, The Bahamas Evangelism Explosion Finance Committee, Treasurer of The Sandy Point Abaco Improvement Association and a member of The Bahamas Merit Award Committee.He also served as a Statutory Board Member of The Bahamas Telecommunications Corporation. (1994 - 1997)Dr. Pinder resigned from Barclays Bank on Aug. 31, 1990, thus ending a 20 year banking career to answer the call of God on his life for full time ministry.
God has blessed the work at St. Mark's
tremendously since, with new ministries being added to include; Girls and Boys Brigades, Children's Church Ministry, Prison Ministry and the establishment of an Early Worshippers Hour.
This consummated Pastor, Preacher, Church and community Leader, Rev. Dr. Carrington Samuel Pinder
was conferred the Doctor of Divinity Degree by The Richmond Virginia Seminary
on Dec. 7, 1998.Pastor Pinder
was awarded the distinguished award "Stalwart of The St. John's Native Baptist Society".
Since June, 1974 Dr. Pinder
has been married to the former Sabrina Pinder and they have seven children and two grand children.
