Carrie Cracknell is Artistic Director of the Gate Theatre and Associate Director at the Young Vic Theatre.
For the Gate credits include: Hedda, Shoot/Get Treasure/Repeat, I Am Falling (Gate/Sadler’s Wells), The Sexual Neuroses of Our Parents. Other credits include: Dolls (National Theatre of Scotland); Stacy (The Tron); A Mobile Thriller (Bristol Old Vic, The Traverse, BAC and The Harbourfront, Toronto); Broken Road (British Council Showcase, BAC); Death and The City (The Tron); The Hush (BAC and The Ohio Theatre, New York). Carrie will direct a version of Electra at the Young Vic later this year. Also with director Carrie Cracknell, she adapted Takeshi Kitano’s film Dolls for the National Theatre of Scotland and Hush Productions.

Directing as Artistic Director of Hush Productions: Stacy (The Tron, Glasgow); A Mobile Thriller (BAC, National Tour, Bristol Old Vic, The Traverse, and The Harbourfront, Toronto); Broken Road (British Council Showcase, BAC) Death and The City (The Tron); The Hush (BAC and The Ohio Theatre, New York) and Macbeth (Djanogly Theatre, Nottingham). Carrie is currently developing an adaptation of the film Dolls for Hush Productions as a co-production with the National Theatre of Scotland. As a student Carrie directed the National Student Drama Festival Ensemble in the new play Achilles (The Birmingham Rep).
