Composer Caroline Altman's musical compositions include "Whiskers!," "Josephine and the Sheep of Dreams," (opening May, 2015 at Yerba Buena Gardens, SF), "Alice in Cyberland," "Kiss the Frog," and "The Snow Queen. Her anti-bullying operatic touring show, "How Andy Found His Voice," debuted in 2011 in Los Angeles, and has been picked up by San Francisco Opera Guild and Pensacola Opera for 2014-15. Former Education Director at San Francisco Opera Guild, Caroline also created the Voices for Social Justice program and the award winning Book to Bravo! classroom composition programs, and directs the Summer Conservatory Youth Training Program. She is the founding Artistic Director of Lyricabella Productions, and recently published her first book for young audiences, Indy at the Opera: A Kitty Traviata, the first in a series about a culturally curious, artistic cat. Caroline Altman is a multi-talented theatre artist: composer, lyricist, director, actress and educator. Her musical compositions include "Whiskers!," "Dreamers," "Alice in Cyberland," "The Tower," and "The Snow Queen. "How Andy Found His Voice," a show about bullying, debuted in 2011 in Los Angeles, and played at the Herbst Theatre in February 2012. As Education Director at San Francisco Opera Guild, Caroline also created the Voices for Social Justice program and the award winning Book to Bravo!, a classroom composition program for Elementary Schools. She is a frequent collaborator with 3GT Resident Playwright Patricia Milton (MOMENTS OF TRUTH, NOT WITHOUT OUR WOMEN). We're fortunate to have Caroline working with Assistant Artistic Director Suze Allen on creating and teaching our GirlWrights program in 2014.

Caroline Altman, Director of the Board Caroline is an arts educator (music, drama, dance) and performer, and has been Director of Education for San Francisco Opera Guild for the past 6 years. She runs a summer conservatory there and also maintain a small private studio (voice and piano.) She has also directed youth theatre for the past 20 years and written 4 musicals and one opera for young audiences.
