Carol Aalbers and Martha de la Garza
The workshop leaders, Carol Aalbers and Martha de la Garza, have both completed the BodySoul Rhythms® Leadership Training Program in 2003 taught by esteembed Jungian analyst Marion Woodman along with Ann Skinner and Mary Hamilton. Carol currently has the whole B&B reserved for those dates and will make your individual reservations when you send in your deposit. Carol would be more than happy to help you figure out train or automobile transportation from Paris or Bordeaux or wherever else in Europe you are coming from. Flying into Paris and taking the TGV (high speed train) to either Bordeaux or Toulouse and then renting a car is the way she has found the most efficient. You can also fly to Bordeaux or Toulouse on Air France from Paris and rent your car. Rail Europe www.raileurope.com is a good source for train schedules. It is also possible to take the train from Paris all the way to Sarlat, or take the train from Paris to Souillac (which requires a pre-arranged taxi pick up - cost about 50 euros - to Sarlat) . You will also need to rent a car either at another destination or once you arrive in Sarlat. Carol recommends a small car as the roads are well maintained but narrow and lane lines are non-existent on the most rural roads. If you want to share the cost of a car with someone, let Carol know and she will try to facilitate that. Carol has found Auto Europe, www.autoeurope.com to be a good reliable car rental agency and they have offices in Bordeaux, Toulouse and Sarlat. Carol is using a Euro exchange rate of $1.35 including the bank fee. If the Euro goes higher than 1.31 to the US dollar, she will have to charge you the difference for the items she has to pay for in Euros (the entrance fees, meals, and guide costs). If it goes to 1.4 including bank fees, for instance, she would have to ask you to pay approximately an additional $40 or $50. Carol strongly advises you to purchase travel insurance to cover your travel and the cost of the workshop. Carol Aalbers
