Carmen Eastman of Eastman Entertainment Agency worked on filling the bill for the show.
"We got the top people.We wanted the top classic rock band, the top country and the top blues (entertainers) and we got 'em," proclaimed Eastman
."They're all very well known in this area.We wanted (bands) people knew about, that people would recognize their names.They're all very different and are going to have a big draw," Eastman
Appreciative crowds aren't the only ones enjoying the River Rhythms show.The performers are also looking forward to the gig, said Eastman
."They all love doing outside venues.You get a chance to really perform for the people and get such a wide variety (of people in the audience)," she
said."That's what makes it the most fun.They're not in a smoky bar.They're able to get up and play to children, to see the children dancing and the families together.They don't get to play to families that often.It's a really wonderful, wonderful experience."
All of the River Rhythms performers do a fair amount of traveling and are happy to entertain the local crowd.
"To play at home to crowds that appreciate them and know them is wonderful," said Eastman
The Last Rodeo Band will play from noon to 2 p.m. "They're the top country band in the area.They play at Jubitz and all of the top country places," Eastman
informed.The group plays both country western and country rock music, and is musically tight thanks to a ton of experience."They've been together for over a decade," Eastman
said of the group.
The Fabulous Farelanes take the stage from 3 to 5 p.m. "They're a great classic rock 'n' roll band, all from the Vancouver area," said Eastman
.Playing hits from the 50s, 60s and more, "They've been together for over a decade," have an extensive set list and know how to entertain a crowd, Eastman
very well known," Eastman
A disk jockey from Jammin' 95.5 will spin records between sets.
