The popular Mexican restaurant, closed since an April fire, will reopen this week, owner Carlos DeLeon said Monday.

"Everything is brand new," DeLeon said.

DeLeon said he hoped to open the restaurant sooner, but it didn't go as planned.
"We got a little backed up with materials and with the tables and chairs coming," he said.
Some employees worked at Tolteca Express in the Gateway Shopping Center in Edwardsville and some helped with the remodeling, DeLeon said. He could not say how much money he spent on renovations.
