Carlos Dardano comes from a family in which the passion for aviation comes from his maternal grandfather, followed by his father, who was the one that taught him how to fly when he was really young.He got his private license when he was just 16 years old.When he graduated from high school, with his license and his basic course in aerobatic, he was sent to the United States to finish his professional career in commercial aviation.

When he came back to El Salvador, in 1978, he started to work as a flight instructor in the Aeropastori School of Aviation, and then he worked as an aero taxi pilot for Gutierrez Flying Service.
In 1981 he is hired by TACA International Airlines to be a flight engineer of the Elektra L-188 aeroplane from the cargo line.Later on he became Capitan of the Boeing 737 on the 10 of October 1986.He kept on and he became Capitan of the Boeing 767, being the youngest Capitan in the company.
During his professional life, he has suffered some misfortunes as when during an attack by the Salvadorian guerrilla in San Vicente, he was shot on his face and he instantly lost his left eye.Being wounded, he realized his flight back to Ilopango Airport to save his passengers' life and his own as well.
Another date Carlos Dardano will never forget is the 24th of May 1998.He was in charged of the Boeing 737-300 from TACA International Airlines, on his way to New Orleans, under a really strong rain.Carlos reported that two of his turbines of his aeroplane had stopped and without thinking it twice he realized an emergency landing on the shore of a channel outside the city limits.Capitan Dardano, once again, saved the lives of his passengers and crewmembers.
His inclination for aerobatics has made him organize and participate in different aero shows in Central America.
In July 2000, he was invited to participate in an aero show held in Bloomington, Illinois, where American pilots evaluated him so he could get his FAA license, that let him fly in aero show inside the American territory.

He got his license as private pilot at the age of 16 in his homeland El Salvador, and continued his aviation training in the United States. He began his career as commercial pilot in 1981 and in 2000 he received the certification as pilot in air shows. He is currently Director of the TACA airline and teaches skydiving and aerobatics at his own school in El Salvador.
