Carl N. Mellott MCCONNELLSBURG, Pa. - Carl N. Mellott, 73, of 319 S. First St., died Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2002, at Chambersburg (Pa.) Hospital. Born Dec. 7, 1928, in Fulton County, Pa., he was the son of the late Jay Harvey and Olive Kendall Mellott. He was the owner/operator/manager of the Sears Catalogue Store in McConnellsburg; owner of the Keystone Kustard Kitchen in Knobsville, Pa.; and was a milkman for Dairimaid in McConnellsburg. He was a member of McConnellsburg United Presbyterian Church. He was a member and past president of McConnellsburg Volunteer Fire Co., past president of the Municipal Borough Water Authority in McConnellsburg, past president of the Tressle Hunting Club, past president of Fulton County Fair Association, past president of the Union Cemetery Board, member of McConnellsburg Borough Housing Authority and member of Fulton County Chamber of Commerce. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Faye Keefer Mellott, whom he married April 28, 1951; one daughter, Nancy E. Ritchey of McConnellsburg; two sons, Rodney R. Mellott of McConnellsburg and Jay A. Mellott of Southhaven, Miss.; two sisters, Esther Nelson of McConnellsburg and Marian Spancake of Hollidaysburg, Pa.; one brother, Hollis Mellott of McConnellsburg; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one sister and one brother. Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at McConnellsburg United Presbyterian Church.
