Carey Chu is a Senior Associate at Handel Architects and a member of the office since 1998.

Mr. Chu was recently Project Architect for 631 Folsom Street, a high-rise luxury residential building in downtown San Francisco.
The project consists of a 21-story residential tower over a single-story podium containing retail.
Mr. Chu was also Project Manager on 1451 Brickell, a 5,000-square-foot office and showroom space, coordinating the work from Schematic Design through Construction Administration.

Mr. Chu was the Project Architect/Project Manager for the Four Seasons Tower, a 1.8-million-square-foot, mixed-use project in the heart of Miami.
The Tower is the tallest residential building south of New York City and integrates a 221-key hotel, 186 luxury residential condominiums, timeshare units, a 40,000-square-foot fi tness facility, and seven floors of office space into a 64-story concrete frame.
Prior to joining Handel Architects, Mr. Chu worked in New York for Pei Partnership Architects and Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates, where he designed projects in Japan, Buenos Aires, England, and the United States.
Mr. Chu received his Bachelor of Architecture from Syracuse University and studied architecture in Florence, Italy.
He is a registered architect in New York State.
