Our dedication to excellence is spawned from MEI's President, Calvin S. McCutcheon, who himself coined the phrase "People, Performance, Progress" as our basic business model. Calvin understands that without these three aspects, no business can truly provide customers with excellent service day in and day out.

Calvin is the third generation of the McCutcheon family to lead MEI and looks forward to the fourth generation working into the future. Since 1947, McCutcheon Enterprises, Inc. has been providing top-quality, complete waste management solutions to our clients.

"We thank Lernerville for the opportunity to sponsor the track for a night and for allowing us to fundraise for JDRF," Calvin concluded.
"When Calvin asked if we could put JDRF on the car, it was a no-brainer.
"Researching a cure for Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) is near and dear to my family's heart," said Calvin McCutcheon, MEI president. "That is why I am proud to announce that 100% of the ticket sales will be donated directly to JDRF. "At MEI we believe in supporting causes that will make life better for people, that's why this is another way we are 'protecting our environment for tomorrow's generations,'" Calvin concluded.

Apollo, PA- Calvin McCutcheon, President, McCutcheon Enterprises, Inc. (MEI) is featured in today's Valley News Dispatch as a Hometown Treasure. Calvin is featured for his two decades of community service to the United Way of Westmoreland County, the StrongLand Chamber of Commerce, and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (now JDRF).
MEI is also a proud contributor to the United Way of Westmoreland County, where our president, Calvin McCutcheon, has been a board member for twenty years.
Apollo, PA- For 20 years, McCutcheon Enterprises, Inc.'s (MEI's) President, Calvin McCutcheon has quietly served on the board of directors for the United Way of Westmoreland County (UWWC). Calvin has routinely donated his time and money without acknowledgement or recognition, and if you ask him, that is just fine with Mr. McCutcheon. On Wednesday night, however, the United Way of Westmoreland County (UWWC) paid tribute to Calvin's efforts by naming him their 2012 Community Champion.
He prefers to be a silent worker in the community, making it a better place for all to live. Calvin is a member of both the United Way Leaders group and the De Tocqueville Society of United Way givers. Both mean that Calvin provides a substantial amount of time and resources to the United Way. Calvin began his tenure on the United Way board in 1993, before the United Way merger occurred when it was known as the United Way of the Kiski Valley. Since April 1993, Calvin has served as board Chairman, Treasurer, as Chair of the Day of Caring, served on the finance committee, and the on the executive committee of Community Impact.
It is due to this hard work and dedication, that Calvin was honored as the 2012 United Way of Westmoreland County Community Champion. Bobbi Watt Geer, President & CEO of UWWC, sums it up this way: "I have worked with nonprofit organizations through my 25 year career and relied heavily on the support, guidance and wisdom of many committed volunteers, and I can tell you that Calvin is one who has given, advocated and volunteered throughout his life in his uniquely humble manner.
Calvin McCutcheon in his award speech recommended to everyone in the room that they take the opportunity to serve their communities. "I remember in 1993 when my dad said to me, son, you need to get involved in your community and the United Way is a great community organization, I signed up to help that very week and haven't stopped for twenty years," McCutcheon said. "It's been an honor and privilege to serve as long as I have but I could not have done so without the help of United Way donors and volunteers like you," McCutcheon told the crowd of UWWC Leadership givers. "At the end of the day, I'm honored to be recognized and just glad I could help," McCutcheon concluded.
MEI is highly involved in its local community. We take our commitment of "protecting our environment for tomorrow's generations" very seriously, and in doing so, support local businesses as often as we can. MEI is a proud sponsor of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Walk to Cure Diabetes and has had the top corporate team for 5 years running. MEI is also a proud contributor to the United Way of Westmoreland County, where our president, Calvin McCutcheon, has been a board member for twenty years.

"We were honored to be a top five finalist," said Calvin McCutcheon, president of MEI. "To win is a fantastic testament to our employees who work hard serving our clients every day," McCutcheon continued. "This is huge. I want to thank the Oil & Gas Awards, the producers who hire us to work, and most importantly, our employees. Without them, we would not be here today," said McCutcheon. "Remember, we're MEI, and when you need us, we'll be there with our complete waste management solutions," McCutcheon concluded.
"We are excited to partner with JD & the Squires and JDRF to promote this event," said Calvin McCutcheon, MEI president. "We participate every year in the JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes and saw this as another great opportunity to raise awareness and money for and about JDRF," McCutcheon continued.
MEI President Calvin McCutcheon was quoted: "We are thrilled to provide items for the silent auction.
