coordinates and prepares the system operating and capital financial plans; prepares the annual consolidated long-range financial forecast; performs financial analyses to support decisions of key system leadership; and consults on financial perspectives of MedStar Health business development initiatives.He also serves as the chief financial officer of three MedStar Health risk businesses. Campbell came to MedStar Health from 13 years at Ernst & Young LLP, where he rose in responsibility from an auditor to a senior manager in the firm's healthcare consulting practice.

conducted financial feasibility studies and financial projections, and analyzed mergers and acquisitions for clients such as Daughters
of Charity Health System, University of Pittsburgh Health System

in its analysis and due diligence related to the acquisition of Georgetown University Hospital
. Campbell earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from the Pennsylvania State University, and is a member of the Health Care Financial Management Association.
