A professor of microbiology at Brigham Young University in Utah, Byron Murray, said that the new studies serve to bolster the numerous research conducted over many years about the cancer-fighting benefits of tea, especially green tea.
Definitely, as the studies reveal, there are some chemicals in green tea that can promote good health.Observers note that Asian folks have been drinking it for years, and they have a much lower incidence of cancer than Americans.And certainly, while there may be several factors in Asian diets that contribute to lower cancer statistics, the studies tend to indicate that green tea appears to be one of those factors.So much so that the researchers who conducted and presented the new studies at the annual meeting encourage people to drink tea.Besides, one of them said, "it's more enjoyable than chewing raw broccoli."
