Fort Kent - Martin Bernstein, CEO at Northern Maine Medical Center, has announced the arrival of Internal Medicine Physician, Byoung-Woo Yang, M.D. as the newest member of the hospital's Medical Staff.

"Having recently completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the Mount Vernon Hospital located in New York, I am confident Dr. Yang will quickly join his colleagues in playing a significant role in the delivery of health care in this region."
Prior to arriving in Fort Kent, Dr. Yang
worked at the Hospital of University of Pennsylvania
While in Pennsylvania, Dr. Yang
achieved Undersea and Hyperbaric Medicine board certification.
also earned the UHMS President Award Second Place, UHMS Annual Scientific Meeting, Maui, Hawaii 06/07.
For this award Curriculum included clinical rotations in the fields of Local Wound Care, Podiatry, Vascular Surgery, Vascular Lab, Head and Neck Surgery, Radiation Oncology.

During this time span, he had the distinction of serving as Chief Resident.
With a focus on disease prevention, Dr Yang
professional interest involves working with his
patients to identify and minimize risk factors for disease, screening for early detection of disease, and improving the course of an existing disease.
Outside of his
professional responsibilities, Dr. Yang
has special interest in choral music, and also enjoys playing the piano.
In the past, Dr. Yang
has sung with several choirs including 'The Music Group' of Philadelphia, and 'St.
Philips Episcopal Cathedral Choir in Atlanta'.

song writing from 'Grand National College Student Union of South Korea'
