Burt Mummolo
Burt Mummolo Board Member Searching for the exciting, the interesting, the news worthy has become Burt Mummolo's, ace reporter for KTUL Channel 8 news, prime pursuit since he graduated from Bishop Kelley High School. He has not stopped yet. Finding a position in television by producing a local cable access variety show back east for a couple of years he worked his way back to Tulsa through Lubbock, TX doing television news. When a position opened at KTUL he jumped at the chance to come home. Since 2004 Burt has continued his search, with KTUL, for those news stories that bring people together. "I am consistently looking for stories that connect people. He said. "Most people don't realize that they have a news story within themselves." To prove his point Burt has turned his rescue Bassett Hound, Daisy, into an ongoing entertainment feature with her own Facebook page and Twitter feed. His continuing search for stories brought Burt to the Crime Prevention Network board. "I have never served on a board before," he said. "It is opening my eyes to many new aspects of Tulsa. I like seeing people connect with each other to prevent crime in the neighborhoods and I want to tell all of Tulsa about it." As one of the board's newest members he has already proven to be a tremendous asset by telling all who will listen about crime prevention and the great work that we do.
